Update FIX for iOS version 17.4
After updating to version 17.4, to set the battery capacity to 100% and 0 cycles, you need to use the 3U Tools program.
Download the 3U Tools program here.
*It has not been possible to verify how the battery capacity percentage will decrease over time. Once we have tested it long enough, we will update this information.
Articles for iPhone 11 and newer still require the use of the TAG-ON flex.
*This guide also works on older iOS versions.
- Back up the phone's memory to your computer. In the new process, you need to flash the system through 3U Tools and then restore the data.
- Set the original battery (or a battery with the original BMS flex) to 100% capacity and reduce the number of cycles to 0 using the TAG-ON Flex programmer.
- Thoroughly re-solder the original flex to the new article and permanently connect the Tag-On Flex.
- Insert a battery other than the original one into the phone and turn it on to trigger a message about a non-original battery in the settings - battery - battery condition and charging.
- Turn off the device and remove the non-original battery, insert the soldered article with the original BMS flex and Tag-on Flex with adjusted capacity and cycle count into the phone.
- Connect the phone via cable to 3U Tools, download iOS 17.4, and select Quick Flash Mode, download iOS version 17.4 and check the Fix battery health during Flash option, then click on the blue Flash button (see image).
- After installing, activate the phone and check in settings - battery - battery condition and charging.
- Done, you can now restore the backup from step 1.
