Battery Cell for Apple iPhone 12 Mini 2227mAh (CoB)
Battery cell for Apple iPhone 12 Mini 2227mAh (CoB)

A replacement battery cell without a flex cable, labeled CoB (cobalt battery), designed for Apple brand phones.

This battery cell is intended for soldering the flex cable from the original battery, so the phone will not display a warning about a non-original battery.

The quality of batteries can significantly affect the performance and lifespan of devices. Batteries marked with the (CoB) - Cobalt Battery - label are characterized by a high cobalt content.
Why is cobalt content important? Cobalt is a key element in the production of lithium-ion batteries, which are the primary source of energy in many modern devices. Higher cobalt content in batteries provides higher energy density and improves overall battery performance. By using batteries with high cobalt content, we ensure not only the long-term performance of your devices but also increase their lifespan and reliability. With this quality, you can rely on our products to fully meet your needs and expectations.

Due to EU regulations, batteries are not shipped fully charged to 100% capacity. After installing the battery, it is important to first complete one full charge and discharge cycle for calibration and proper functioning of the new battery.

This is a single cell intended for professional repair involving the reballing/re-soldering of the original electronics!

• For model: iPhone 12 Mini
• Capacity: 2227 mAh
• Package contents: Battery cell, nickel plate, adhesive
• Part type: cell without flex cable

Update FIX for iOS version 17.4

After updating to version 17.4, to set the battery capacity to 100% and cycles to 0, the use of the 3U Tools program is required.

Download the 3U Tools program here.
*It has not yet been possible to verify how the battery capacity percentage will decrease over time. Once we have tested it for a sufficient period, we will update this information.

The articles for iPhone 11 and newer still require the use of the TAG-ON flex.

*This guide also works on older iOS versions.

  1. Back up the phone's memory to your computer. In the new process, you need to flash the system via 3U Tools and then restore the data.
  2. Set the original battery (or a battery with the original BMS flex) to 100% capacity and reduce the number of cycles to 0 using the TAG-ON Flex programmer.
  3. Solder the original flex cable thoroughly to the new cell and permanently connect the Tag-On Flex.
  4. Insert a non-original battery into the phone and turn it on to trigger a message about a non-original battery in the settings - battery - battery condition and charging.
  5. Turn off the device and remove the non-original battery, insert the soldered cell with the original BMS flex and Tag-on Flex with modified capacity and cycle count into the phone.
  6. Connect the phone via cable to 3U Tools, download iOS version 17.4, select Quick Flash Mode, download iOS version 17.4 and check the option Fix battery health during Flash, then click the blue Flash button (see image).
  7. After installation, activate the phone and check the settings - battery - battery condition and charging.
  8. Finished, you can now restore the backup from step 1.
