Battery Cell for Apple iPhone 12 / 12 Pro 2815mAh (CoB)
Battery cell for Apple iPhone 12 / 12 Pro 2815mAh (CoB)

Replacement battery cell without a flex cable labeled CoB (cobalt battery), designed for Apple phones.

This battery cell is intended for soldering the flex cable from the original battery, so the phone will not display a warning about a non-original battery.

The quality of batteries can significantly affect the performance and lifespan of devices. Batteries labeled with the trademark (CoB) - Cobalt Battery - are characterized by a high cobalt content.
Why is cobalt content important? Cobalt is a key element in the production of lithium-ion batteries, which are the basic source of energy in many modern devices. A higher cobalt content in batteries brings higher energy density and improves overall battery performance. By using batteries with high cobalt content, we ensure not only the long-term performance of your devices but also increase their lifespan and reliability. With this quality, you can rely on our products to fully meet your needs and expectations.

Due to EU regulations, batteries are not shipped fully charged to 100% capacity. After installing the battery, it is important to first complete one full charge and discharge cycle for calibration and proper operation of the new battery.

This is a battery cell intended for professional repair with reballing/re-soldering of the original electronics!

• For model: iPhone 12 / 12 Pro
• Capacity: 2815 mAh
• Package contents: Battery cell, nickel plate, adhesive

Update FIX for iOS version 17.4

After updating to version 17.4, to set the battery capacity to 100% and 0 cycles, you need to use the 3U Tools program.

Download the 3U Tools program here.
*It has not been possible to verify how the battery capacity percentage will decrease over time. Once we have tested it for a sufficient period, we will add this information.

Batteries for iPhone 11 and newer still require the use of a TAG-ON flex.

*This guide also works on older iOS versions

  1. Backup the phone's memory to your computer. In the new procedure, it is necessary to perform a System Flash through 3U Tools and then restore the data.
  2. Set the original battery (or a battery with the original BMS flex) to 100% capacity and reduce the number of cycles to 0 using the TAG-ON Flex with a programmer.
  3. Thoroughly reball the original flex onto the new cell and permanently attach the Tag-On Flex.
  4. Insert a non-original battery into the phone and turn it on to trigger a message about a non-original battery in the settings - battery - battery condition and charging.
  5. Turn off the device and remove the non-original battery, insert the re-soldered cell with the original BMS flex and Tag-On Flex with adjusted capacity and cycle count into the phone.
  6. Connect the phone via cable to 3U Tools, download iOS 17.4 and select the Quick Flash Mode option, download iOS version 17.4 and check the Fix battery health during Flash option, then click the blue Flash button (see image).
  7. After installation, activate the phone and check the battery condition and charging in the settings.
  8. Done, you can now restore the backup from step 1.
